Not quite what I thought it would be. The length of the belt I ordered for my dad was able to open into a pouch. However, the belt is too thin/narrow to hold an ID or credit card. It works for some bills or other currency, maybe a key or something.

This belt is a little extra wide at 1½", and a little bit thicker compared to a lot of nylon web belts. Its flexible but sturdy in the vertical direction, which means it 'gets a grip' around your waist without the belt buckling over when you bend (like a soft nylon will do). The clasp is metal and grips well. No instructions on use of this type of buckle but its easy enough to figure out. Sorry, I haven't stashed money in it yet, so i can't say much there other than you will have to make several folds in your money and I cannot say how many bills can be folded together and still allow the zipper to close.
If youre buying this to keep money safe from a robery, i can attest that it works. I was stopped by the Mexican police and they stole the smaller bills from my wallet. I stashed most of my cash in the belt, and after patting me down twice, they completely overlooked the belt. This belt paid for itself many times over, cannot reccomend enough. I also find it easy to use and comfortable
